for the very best in contemporary and

traditional folk music from home and abroad

Welcome back! We've moved back
to our original (now brand new) home,
The Willows in Kirkham!

About Us

The Willows Folk Club is a non-profit making organisation run by a team of regular and dedicated volunteers. Our concerts showcase local, national and international singers and musicians. We aim to provide a varied and interesting programme from September through to June, promoting new and younger talent and a good gender balance, as well as inviting back our established favourites.

What to expect

Doors open at 7:30 pm for an 8:00 pm start featuring a support slot from our club residents. Our main act therefore starts at 8:30 pm. The concert finishes at approximately 10:30 pm with a half hour interval.

Seating is unreserved except for those with disability requirements. There is good wheelchair access and a separate disabled toilet.

We are most appreciative to The Willows for providing us with a beautiful modern function room, with a state-of-the art sound and lighting system (sorry, no glitterball!).

Parking

There are 4 designated disabled parking  spaces and some general parking at the venue. There is plenty of overflow parking 3 minutes walk away at the Kirkham Grammar Junior School car park.

Entrance and pricing

Concerts can still be paid for on the door but we are also looking at contactless methods of payment. Although we are not currently selling physical tickets it helps to know who is planning to attend. The entrance price is usually £10, though some concerts may vary.

Covid Safety

The managers at The Willows have assured us that they have stringent council-approved safety measures in place - please see Venue heading for details. The room is very spacious so we can spread out or share tables as preferred.

Hope to see you soon!
